Quite simply regarded as the World’s Greatest Drum & Bass DJ. He is the boss of RAM Records, and with his accomplices’ he’s also part of Origin Unknown and RAM Trilogy.
Origin Unknown's 1997 album, 'Origin Unknown Presents...Speed Of Sound' won Best Dance Album at the Kiss FM Dance Awards and Best Album at the Hardcore Dance Awards, where Andy also collected the gong for Best Producer. The 1998 follow-up, 'Origin Unknown Presents...Sound In Motion', preceded the birth of RAM Trilogy; Andy C, Ant Miles and Shimon's studio hook up. The Ram Trilogy collaboration has since resulted in some of the biggest tracks in drum & bass history. These include 'No Reality', 'Screamer', and the monster anthem 'Titan'. Andy's finest moment as a producer came in 2002, when along with Shimon, he wrote a tune called 'Bodyrock'. This groundbreaking track not only tore up the formula for how drum & bass 'should' sound, but also made it in to the UK Top 40 on vinyl sales alone. With a CD single release it reached the dizzying heights of No. 28 in the charts, one of an extremely rare breed of drum & bass tracks to hit the Top 40 without a vocal.
At the Knowledge Awards in 1999, 2001 and 2003, Andy has taken the award for Best DJ. Andy also won the best D&B DJ award on Drum & Bass arena in 2001 & 2002 where in excess of 90,000 people voted, and again at Accelerated Culture's 'Peoples Choice Awards' in 2002 and 2004. Andy has made it in to the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll every year since 2000, and since 2001 has maintained his position as the highest ranking D&B DJ in the poll. 'The Executioner' is without a shadow of a doubt the undisputed heavyweight champion of drum & bass DJs!
