Born Joseph Junior Adenuga in Tottenham, North London, Skepta is an MC, producer and DJ within the grime genre. After forming Boy Better Know in 2005 with his brother Jamie Adenuga (JME), underground hits including Private Caller, Duppy, R U Dumb? and Stupid followed.
Skepta’s other musical associations lie with Roll Deep (famed by ex members Dizzee Rascal and Wiley). Famed as a face of MTV Base’s ‘About to Blow’, Skepta, along with have brought JME, was the first to an entrepreneurial streak to the Grime scene.
The 2006 release of Shut Yuh Mut (Boy Better Know Edition 1) established Boy Better Know as the new grime sounds for a generation. His interest in Dubstep has grown since he collaborated with PLASTICIAN to make 'Intensive Snare'.
