Re-born as a club and music venue in the 1980s, The Faversham is one of the North’s most legendary nightclubs, playing a major role in defining our city’s club culture. Don’t be fooled by the Victorian exterior, inside, the club has a state of the art lighting and sound rig, mighty Funktion One and is at the forefront of the city’s musical movement. The club is unpretentious yet eclectic in terms of both its design and music policy. Whilst the venue’s low-ceiling gives it an intimate, underground, basement vibe, both the exterior and atmosphere help to craft the ultimate ‘House Party’ experience, something completely unique to The Fav.

The Fav hones a range of musical genres, where anything from House to Disco to Hip-Hop is common place. Nights such as Monocult, Bigger Than Barry, Just a Little and Good Life have all raised the roof over the past 12 months and some of the some of the world’s most renowned DJs have graced our infamous decks. From Sasha and Carl Cox back in 1990s through to Art Department, Tale of Us, George Fitzgerald, Roy Davis JR, Jackmaster, DJ Format and Cyril Hahn…to name just a few.

The Faversham is perhaps most notable for it’s summer ‘Garden Parties’, a series of parties that take place over the summer bank holidays across the entire grounds. Boasting an unrivalled atmosphere, and with its unique location just a walk away from Leeds town centre, Leeds train station and at the heart of Leeds University the venue will long continue to define the city’s music scene.
