The Faversham is a dynamic venue and events space situated slap bang in the middle of the Leeds University District. Once a family run hotel catering for the rich and famous, the venue has been run by a family of a different kind since 2004. Cemented by stellar programming and an impressive roster of resident events, a team of dedicated promoters and impresarios have built up the almighty reputation of the venue.
Truly independent, with no big brewery backing the operation The Faversham is run by a team of pedants and perfectionists; pop culture obsessive’s, who pride themselves on being at the cutting age of trends gastronomically, musically and culturally.
Since becoming a live music venue in 1982 the venue has been a major hangout for every culturally significant subculture. From Goth to Punk to Indie to House to New Rave to Techno, to Dubstep, they have been at the centre of every major scene. The greatest acts in the world, past and present have graced The Faversham stage.
Catering from breakfast through to sunrise the venue is complete with five rooms, two bars, a beer garden and perfectly situated south facing terrace. Boasting an extensive daytime restaurant menu, full Funktion1 soundsystem, private rooms available for hire, a wealth of tempting beverages, weekly killer clubnights as well and special seasonal events it truly is the perfect location for a lunchtime snack, after work drink, gig or party till after dawn.
